AI visibility audit for UK businesses
Find out whether Google, Bing and AI assistants such as ChatGPT can tell who you are, what you offer and why they should recommend you. Then get a prioritised list of what to fix. £2,500 + VAT, fixed fee, 2–4 weeks.
What the audit answers
More people now ask an AI assistant rather than scroll through a list of links. The assistant only recommends businesses it can identify, understand and trust. That depends on how your website is built, not just on what it says.
The audit answers three questions:
- Can machines identify you? Is your business a clear, consistent entity, with the same name, services and details everywhere?
- Can they understand what you offer? Do your structure, content and structured data describe your services in a way machines can read?
- Do they mention you today? When customers ask AI assistants the questions you want to be found for, who gets named?
What’s included
Every audit covers the same five areas, so you can see where you stand across all of them.
-
01
Entity clarity analysis
How clearly your organisation, services and relationships are defined and connected.
-
02
Structured data and schema review
Whether your Schema.org markup is present, valid, consistent and describing the right things.
-
03
Content architecture evaluation
Whether your pages, headings and internal links make your expertise easy to interpret.
-
04
AI discoverability assessment
We put the questions your customers ask to ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Gemini, and record which businesses are named.
-
05
Technical machine-legibility report
Each finding comes with what we found, why it matters and what to change, ranked so you can start with the changes that matter most.
-
06
Walkthrough call
We take you through the findings and answer your questions.
How it works
Three steps, with the report and walkthrough call within 2–4 weeks.
-
1
Tell us about your business
Your website, your main services, and the questions customers ask before they buy.
-
2
We audit
Entities, structured data, content architecture and technical access, plus prompt testing in AI assistants.
-
3
Report and walkthrough
You get the prioritised findings and next steps, and a call to talk them through.
How it differs from an automated check
Automated checkers scan a page and give it a score. They are a useful first look. This audit goes further.
Your whole site, not one page
We look at how your pages, services and evidence fit together across the site.
Tested in real assistants
We check how AI assistants actually respond to your customers’ questions, not only what a scanner predicts.
What to change, and why
Each finding explains what to change in your site’s structure and why it matters.
From people who build it
DBETA makes Bones and publishes its own AI data endpoints, so the advice comes from building this, not only auditing it.
Is it right for you?
A good fit if
- you are rarely named in AI answers, even though your site looks fine
- competitors seem to get found and quoted more often
- you want to know where you stand before deciding on bigger changes
- your site is on WordPress, another CMS or a custom build
What it can’t do
- guarantee a ranking, a citation or a featured snippet
- make ChatGPT, Google or any AI tool name you; no one controls what they say
- make the changes for you; the report tells you what to change
AI Visibility Audit or Structural Audit?
Both cost £2,500 + VAT and take 2–4 weeks. They answer different questions.
AI Visibility Audit: can search engines and AI assistants read and recommend you? Best for businesses that are not being found or named in AI answers.
Structural Audit: is your platform sound, or heading for a rebuild? It looks at architecture, performance, maintainability, dependencies and governance. Best for businesses whose site is slow, fragile or hard to change.
Not ready for the full audit?
Start with the AI Visibility Check, £495 + VAT. We look at up to 10 key pages, review their structured data and schema, test a sample of AI assistant prompts, and send a short report with the top 5 fixes. It takes about a week.
If you then take the full AI Visibility Audit within 3 months, the £495 comes off its price.
After the audit
You can act on the report yourself or with your own developers. If it shows a structural problem and you want us to fix it, the next step is Structural Strategy, then a build on Bones, where machine legibility is built in.

FAQ
Common questions
Short answers to what clients ask us most. Anything else, just ask.
Ask a question
Will this change my website's design?
No. The audit looks at structure, data and content. Any changes it recommends are structural and don't change your site's look.
Do I need a new website?
Usually not. Most improvements to machine legibility can be made to an existing site. The report says when a structural fix needs more than that.
Is this just SEO?
It overlaps with SEO, but goes further. SEO is mainly about ranking pages. This audit looks at whether machines can identify your business, understand what you offer and reuse that information correctly, including inside AI answers.
Do you guarantee we'll appear in ChatGPT?
No. No one controls what AI assistants say. The audit shows where you stand and what makes you easier to identify, verify and cite.
How long does it take?
2–4 weeks from the agreed start date.
What does it cost?
£2,500 + VAT, fixed fee.
